What to expect from your score conversion
StaveWave converts a score to editable MusicXML. The source file matters — a born-digital PDF, a clean scan, and a phone photo each need different preparation and leave different passages to check.
Born-digital PDFs
Upload the original PDF directly rather than printing and rescanning it. Still review any flagged measures, especially dense chords or unusual notation.
Clean scans
Flat, high-contrast scans with complete page edges give the clearest result. Check the measures marked for review against the original page before relying on the export.
Phone photos
Photograph one page at a time, square to the camera, in even light, with page curl flattened. Expect closer review where perspective, glare, or missing edges obscure the page.

Upload the clearest original you have and keep the source page handy while you correct uncertain measures in your notation app.
